Dang. I totally forgot the date. I missed my mother’s birthday too (April 24). It’s been so busy at work, and at home these last couple off weeks, I completely blanked on it. Well, maybe next time. Probably for the best, I have so many knitting projects on the go that I need to finish anyway.

I agree with the others – The Winter Soldier was outstanding. I’ve been downloading Agents of SHIELD, but haven’t had time to watch it yet. It’s on my list, somewhere . . . after about 16 books and finishing re-watching Stargate SG-1.

I found a winged black and white cat with gold blue & purple wings. It’s not the mustached cat…it looks similar to one I saw on here except for the wing color. I found it at a thrift shop for 3.50. It has the stamp on the bottom from the California location but no number or signature. What is he worth?

Sounds like an original black Large Bird Winged Flap Cat – they were retired in 2002 and apparently sold for $64 originally according to astralcastle.com. I recently purchased one on eBay for $50 (it has a minor chip on one wing). I’ve seen them sell for anywhere from $75 to around $120 in mint condition.

While I do see the point in what you’re saying, unfortunately, having more votes per user does not guarantee they would get any more votes than they get now.

Also, if people are voting for the underdogs just because they feel bad for them, we may end up with inaccurate counts making it hard to select a winner. This kind of thought process is why I don’t love the idea of opening up more than one vote per person. 🙂 We want there to be clear leaders in the votes – it makes our jobs a LOT easier in awarding prizes (versus having 10 people tied for third place and having to disappoint someone when it goes back to judging).

Plus – I, personally, would feel WORSE if I missed a prize by one or two votes than if I missed it by 20 or something.

I agree that more than one vote per person probably isn’t a good idea. But I think it would be better if there was a way to not show the current vote tallies. That way no one would have to feel bad for the underdogs because they wouldn’t know who was winning. It also makes it a nicer surprise for the winner if they don’t know in advance that they are ahead.

Of course I don’t know if it is possible with this type of vote to not display the results ahead of time.

Squeeeeeeellllll! Oh god, I can’t even imagine a Blue Morpho Lap Dragon. It must be gorgeous. I would buy a new shelf just for it (if I managed to grab one). 🙂 I guess it could maybe share with the morpho chicks I bought :).

Possibly stupid question – I’ve never done one of these before. What is acceptable to request as color or theme? Mostly I’m just afraid that the request I get may be more than I can handle. Newbie concerns 😛

Some people say they want a galaxy theme, and others just give the artist free reign… There’s nothing more acceptable than another.

A year and a couple months ago I had one dragon, a peacock young dragon and now after buying and trading for lots of pieces I now have a total of about 80. I never thought I would acquire that many!

Thanks! The funny thing is I was hoping for brown, green or black. Blue and orange/purple were a great surprise. Also the color on Fire is exactly the same as my coiled Violet Flame (minus the blue antiquing). That’s kind of where his name came from.

Well my babies went on a two day adventure, they should have been here on Mon, but didn’t arrive until late this afternoon. Hope they enjoyed the trip.

These are the cutest little sculptures. I had planned to sell one of my two, but they are so beautiful and go together so well that I’ll be keeping them both. These are the only Windstones I’ve ever felt the need to name, but it was the first thing I thought of when I unwrapped them.
