One of the great things about Whelan is that he actually reads (at least some of) the book so that his images are in agreement with the book, as opposed to some cover artists which do pics that are completely misleading or off.
He looks awesome outside. I finally got the large rock dragon, and I’m just not brave enough to keep him outside (NM sun is quite harsh, and so are people), but maybe a site seeing tour like yours would be fun!
🙂 Thanks everybody! I bought a watercolor strip, but my daughter is excited now to paint with them, so I figure I’ll let her use ’em first. Have to buy more paints soon anyway, so I’ll see what they have in the art store 🙂 .

Stealing the photo was like plagiarism, and the awesomeness of modern technology has made it so easy to do kind of theft. Unfortunately, some people don’t consider it stealing as there is not a physical item involved and they just don’t get that it really is stealing. I’m having to deal with this constantly, and I try to emphasize that plagiarism (or in this case stealing the photo) is actually worse than stealing, as there is someone’s effort/thoughts/personality behind what was taken and falsely claimed. Argh.Eek! Poor mamma, and poor Aldana! Welcome. 🙂 If you do have to give her up we’ll help you locate a new one.

When my sister was overseas and was told about her grandma’s passing via email she was really upset. She said an email saying “I need to talk to you; I have some bad news” would have been better than a bomb on email. One opinion. She preferred the phone so that she could hear it.

Hmmmm… this is pretty odd. First time I looked at this thread there were no visible comments from anyone, but toward the end there was a pic of a bunch of cats on someone’s bed (which was really funny), and so I came back to it now, and I can see everyone’s comments, but no pic of kitties! What gives?
Griff: can you have customs look at their records? It should show up on their end, and even though they’re the govt, I think you should be w/in your rights to insist that they double check. Can you use water to revive acrylic paints on the palette once they’re kinda dry, or is that bad? How do you save the darn colors? I’ve finally gotten some of the colors I want (after much blending), but when baby wakes up, that’s it for me and it’s a real drag to try to match colors later (or at least it is at this point). Eek!
On the up side, my girl has 4 colors now (though you can’t really tell) and it’s sooo much fun! 🙂Wanna sell a white scratcher or a red flame curlie? Doubt you want to sell your BEP OW, but if you do… 😀 😉
I think my green mother is like yours, but then I’m not sure what the green with less brown looks like. Can you post a pic of one of your other greens?
