A little hesitant to post, considering the amount of talent on this forum… I hope she’s not too similar to anyone else’s PYO, I’ve been trying to not look too close at them so as not to be influenced..inspired? Not sure of the word I want. I don’t want to copy. 😆
She (yes, she) is still in the works. She will be bright gold on the belly shading to a dark copper on the .. um.. dorsal ridge ? She really is much darker than the pic already, the flash just washes it out.
How do you get good pics of shiny metallics ? argggh.
Have to try to build a light tent, I guess.

yes she is bright and shiny, sometimes it’s hard to see where I’m painting 😆 😆
February 24, 2007 at 1:08 am #543001I love it– but now when I look away there is a bright dragon shape everywhere I look– oh wait— its fading now 🙂 lol
I love it– I love shiny/sparkly things— oh can I have the sparkly- can I, can I??? I need the sparkly!February 24, 2007 at 1:17 am #543002I think it looks nice. I keep on remembering someone else painting a gold and copper PYO.
February 24, 2007 at 1:18 am #543003The best way to take pictures of metallic-painted pieces is to back up and do a close-in with the camera. That way, the flash is far enough from the piece and won’t wash out the colors as much.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.
