No parades this year.First time in my life the parades won’t run but that doesn’t mean folks won’t still celebrate a little.They are decorating their yards and porches.I bought a King Cake at least.So good with hot coffee.
Here is a quick recipe for making one.Something to do on a freezing weather day like today.Try one and enjoy.

You normally add the baby in the cake somewhere – or within a slice that the party partakers choose! The idea is that no one knows where the baby is until it is ‘found’ and hopefully not swallowed or bit into hard enough to break a tooth! LOL!

The king baby represents good fortune in the coming year to the one that finds it and they have to buy a cake and have the next “king cake party”.This happens all during the season of parades and balls until Fat Tuesday aka Mardi Gras.Ash Weds.they begin Lent for 40 days to Easter.

I got a wonderful secret surprise last week.I want to thank the person that sent it very much.It arrived when Teresa was here and she had never eaten King Cakes before.It was DELICIOUS!YUMMY💖💖A traditional cinnamon with frosting.I warmed it up,added the frosting and it was the best cinnamon rolls you could ask for.oh my! I know I gained 5lbs+😂
Thank you.And,it has a GOLD king baby.May he bring us very good fortune this year.💞
