Your daughter is in the same place I was at that age. You don’t really see the big picture until you are out of high school. Everything is so closed and tight during school years. Girls are mean to each other. I thought it was bad when I was in school but it’s so much worse now. My step daughter is having problems in 2nd grade! I wish i could take it away from her but honestly the more I think about it the more I realized it made me who I am today. If it wasn’t for me being ousted by the popular group I would have never gotten into D&D, therefore wouldn’t have gotten into Fantasy and I would have never met my husband to be.
It’s just hard trying to convince our children it’s going to get better because they can’t see it like we do. I still hear my mom saying,” Don’t put so much importance on other people, just stay true to yourself. If others don’t like you it’s their loss not yours.”

It’s not for a lack of interest or because pros feel that they are ‘above’ such things; it’s just that most pro artists are fighting tooth and nail to make income, and every last second of their time is spent on projects that have the potential to pay the bills. Such is the case for me. It isn’t that I don’t want to, but if I don’t concentrate my time on things that might bring income, I’m toast.

My art: featherdust.comSame thing from me…..I simply cant….Time is a valuable investment, and it can be excruciatingly hard to make a living from work that uses such large quantities of it. I genuinely looked at this and wished I could participate, just the same as I do when I see the pyo swaps come up.
