To all the Dad’s out there, sure hope you had a Happy Father’s day.
What did y’all do?My husband and I had a little adventure. The new casino Jimmy Buffet’s”Margeritaville”just opened and with him a big fan of J.B.,we went to check it out. So we live way out in the country and were driving a back road to Biloxi, just cruzin’,laughing, talking, when Jeff suddenly jumped and started rolling up the window. He said,”Look!”and pointed at the far bottom right side of the windshield.Guess what was there?A COPPERHEAD! It was sticking out from under my hood about 6″and madder than hell. It’s head was bobbing against the wind, doing about 50m.and you could still tell by it’s posture that it would have bit the wind if it could have.Amazing.All of the weird things that I have seen and experienced in this life,THAT was a first. We pulled over, waited a few minutes to see if it would drop out on it’s own once the car stopped.Nope.So I went looking for long sticks while it was still there just looking for something to take it’s fear out on while Jeff made sure it didn’t get IN the car.I have a personal grudge against them, another story and I did it no harm folks but I sure wanted to.After about ten minutes of prodding it out of my engine firewall,it dropped down and Jeff hurried it on it’s way back into the woods.Interesting way to start the day.Another quirk to the story is there were about ten vehicles passed us by and each one I tried to wave down for help getting this thing out of the engine before I went in the woods to find sticks. Each vehicle passed us by without hesitating.Noone knew what was wrong, nor did they care.People, when someone is on the side of the road, especially in the country, and they are trying to wave you down, please stop or at least call the cops to go see if they do need help.Nothing much shakes me in the animal world but humans never cease to amaze me,but I digress.Needless to say,it was an interested start to Father’s day.Wonder what I would have done if it had leaned in aginst the windshield, griped and climbed in the car?YEE-HAA!!Glad that didn’t happen.:O
      Sooo,how was your day? 😀

YIKES! I might’ve swerved off the road if I spotted a snake like that! Glad it was a good ending for all 3 of you.

My husband took our older two boys to a baseball game. Sounds great, right?

Right before he left our youngest started puking all over. The older boys and dad still went, but I was so busy cleaning up the baby I didn’t help them pack.

So they didn’t take sun screen.

My husband has such a bad sun burn he can’t move. My step-son puked all over the car on the way back. The only person in the house who isn’t miserable right now is my middle son who has dodged the stomach bug so far.

      Happy Father’s day?

Hope all the other dads fared better!
