MELODY! These guys are beautiful! I fell out of my chair when I saw them. I only saw them today, 2 days into the auction, but I had a dream about Palomino horses last night. Is there any chance you’ll do more palominos with blue or teal eyes? They dont have to be the metallic type, any palomino. There have been 3 mothers and 1 male. Only 1 mother had blue eyes. I have a grab bag young and baby that need a family! My young has lavender eyes and my baby has bright blue.
I know there are other palomino unicorn lovers out there! *squeak squeak* Please another palomino unicorn mare/stallion set with blue eyes (or lavender or teal etc just anything but brown)
December 12, 2011 at 6:04 pm #865280The only thing keeping me from bidding on the mare is that she’s metallic and my male is not. I have a male, young, baby set that needs a mother. But she needs to match the OTHER palomino male that sold over the summer. And he has BROWN eyes. (pic is huge, more babbling after the pic)
I’ve always said that maybe all of the normal color ebay unicorns should have a brown eye/blue eye choice. I understand one like Hades not having a choice, but any of the dun, palomino, appaloosa, pinto ETC colors can look good both ways. But if you have a set to finish, like I do, it would be MUCH better if we had an eye color choice(and with so many GB babies and youngs out there that want parents, there would be no shortage of bidders if they had an eye choice).
December 12, 2011 at 6:11 pm #865282Seconded! An eye color choice would be great! I love palominos, but I passed on that male because he had brown eyes. A green eyed one would be splendid though! There was a grab bag young in the last batch that had green eyes-I never found her though 🙁
December 12, 2011 at 6:31 pm #865283There was no eye color choice on these for a few reasons, sorry..
It was late on a weekend and I needed to get them posted quickly.
It’s hard to do color choices on equines because the loose eyes fall out at the slightest touch unless they are taped in (which isn’t easy to do on such small eyes!).
These both had thick paint in the eye sockets, so there is a chance the eyes would have gotten stuck, or at the very least made them difficult to get out again without scratching up the paint.Hopefully Melody can paint a second set of metallic palominos so there can be a blue eyed set.
December 12, 2011 at 10:45 pm #865304As you all know, we are out of horns. These were a few stray unicorns that I found on a back shelf, with the horns already glued in.
December 12, 2011 at 10:58 pm #865305Completely out of horns? Oh no! I hope Windstone can get more soon. Are these the last unicorns that will be avaliable until there are more horns?
December 13, 2011 at 12:12 am #865313Melody, we have a handful of male and mother unicorn horns. 🙂

Indeed 😛 o.O
December 17, 2011 at 12:12 am #865947Melody, we have a handful of male and mother unicorn horns. 🙂
Since when?? Last I heard there were NONE. I thought we had to scrounge around to find one for Jennifer’s zebra unicorn?
December 17, 2011 at 2:12 am #865968I would have to look at them, but I think the female horns were from when we sent samples in to be plated. I don’t know where the male horns came from. I remember having to scrounge for one for the Zebra Unicorn too, but now there is a small cup of male horns in the cabinet!
December 17, 2011 at 3:06 am #865982I like the palominos…but I really LOVED the pangare mother you did, it’s the perfect “shade” of palomino and the spots were gorgeous. The metallic ones are kind of yellow and the one Wampus has is too brown (and I don’t like the brown on the nose much either) although it does seem everyone loves them and I think they’d sell like hotcakes either way!
Then again, I’d prefer either pintaloosa, bay blanket appaloosa, or palomino appaloosa more though 😛
