hi all,
so so so sorry if this is the wrong forum to be posting this in ;_; but it seemed like the best place to try.
for you south floridians, there is a shop in the broward mall that is going out of business, and they have reduced all of their merch to 50% off, including Windstones. i picked up a baby unicorn for myself, a white gothic unicorn for a friend, and the saleswoman managed to talk me into putting down a deposit on a female wolf colored gryphon :p don’t get me wrong, i desperately want her for my collection, i just shouldn’t be buying frivolous things like that right now. but it really is hard to beat a price like that! so i suppose she will be mine!
the store is called Pewter Place. if you call to inquire about which items are available you might confuse them, as the saleswoman didn’t seem to know which piece was which. i actually gave the woman the correct name of each piece, but who knows if she will actually remember, hehe. the store will be open for 3 more weeks.

Im about 2 hours from that area… I called the shop and they have a griffin Mother, Not sure which one… they have a Male dragon that the sales person called blue, periwinkle, and emerald (Im guessing a Emerald Peacock)
and they have a Red young.. which may be a ruby.
and lastly a big wizard. They said they can ship.Kalandra
they also had a female kirin (which really confused the woman, who kept calling it a gryphon), the frog wizard, a hatching pegasus, and… well shoot. i should have written them all down! there were more than those, but not a huge amount. i was super excited that they were on sale.
they had a ruby Young Dragon. er, my apologies if that is not the correct name for it. it was this one, only in ruby;
http://windstoneeditions.com/products/young-dragon-amethystthe other dragon was large, and indeed peacock colored. my mind’s eye can’t seem to recall if he was an Emperor or a Rising Spectral.
i will go back by there and give a more thorough report tomorrow. they may have more than what was on display… there were 2 gryphons, but only one was on display.
i got a couple of PMs on this, i will get back to you guys when i know exactly what they have 🙂

Gah! I’m only about a 3-4 hour drive from there myself, and was just down there a little over a month ago. Didn’t go in the Broward Mall, but was going to because I grew up near it and shopped there. Why didn’t I?!
Not looking for pieces for myself, but still…i think i PMed everyone back, hopefully i can be of some assistance!
and pip, i almost didn’t go in the store because when i was there a month or so ago they did have the 50% off sign in their window, but not everything was reduced yet. they had the baby gryphons then and man i so wanted those but they were still full price ;_; but i was surprised to find that the windstones, disneyanas, even hummels (my mom collects those) were all part of the sale now. they are even selling their display cases.
i’m getting a little nostalgic because i used to ask for a windstone every year for christmas/my birthday when i was in high school, and i know my mother always went to that same store to get them.

i just wanted to apologize, as i was unable to get back to that store this weekend. i will update again when i do!
finally, an update!
firstly, i’d like to apologize yet again! it took me an entire week to get back to the store. it’s really no excuse, but i wanted to provide an explanation at least. my dad passed away a little over 2 weeks ago. some days i’m okay, other days i don’t want to do anything or go anywhere. and that was the case here. i basically worked on art and moped.
so again, i am sorry to people who were waiting to hear from me.
okay, here is what the store still has as of 9/30/2011
– hatching pegasus
– baby pegasus
– mouse wizard
– frog wizard
– leaf cat sconce
– cat in a paper bag (not sure what the official title of this is)
– female gryphon, wolf coloration
– rising spectral dragon – peacock
– wizardi inquired about the possibility of other items in stock (like additional gothic unicorns, for example) but was told what i saw was what i got. i suppose it was sheer luck that they happened to have an additional female gryphon still in the box.
i know people here were interested in the ruby young dragon, guinea pig, stegosaurus and triceratops, but they were gone.
so, there you go. again, i am so sorry to everyone who was waiting to hear back from me. i feel terrible ;_;

I called them earlier-they ONLY have cat items, and she said she had a “candle holder”. I didn’t inquire any further, but it may be the leaf sconce! 🙂
