Hi Melody! Ive got a question for you-there was a thread somewhere that was talking about one of the Secret Keepers (I forget the name of the color but it was like a Winter Forest-in shades of Christmasy reds and greens) and how the SK had “lipstick” and how some people disliked it and others liked it.

You (or maybe Jenn or Pam) said that a lot of Olympia’s dragons have “lipstick”.

I noticed the Peacock OW has purple “lipstick”. Ive only seen 2 peacock OWs up close-do they all have this? If so, were they painted by Olympia? Or did she just design where the colors would be laid out on the dragon? I remember reading a looong time ago that the Peacock color was based off peacock ore, not the peacock bird. Who thought up the color? Does this same person usually create the new colors?

I am guessing that a lot of the “more recent” colors have come from test paints that were successful (like BEP and BVP and Serpentine) but what about the old colors like the pearl white and emerald? Brown and Green are “traditional” dragon colors-so I’m sure that’s where the idea came from.

Were you originally going for gemstone dragons?
      Pearl White-diamonds/pearl
      Emerald-emerald
      Peacock-could be sapphire
      Ruby-ruby

I know you said Red Fire was based on one of Olympia’s test paints (I saw a Secret Keeper that another member had that looked like Red Fire, so I guessed it was from that where the color came from. I can’t remember the name of the color on the Secret Keeper-GOSH where is my brain?!)

And also, I heard from another forum member that someone named “Justin” thought up the Copper Patina color scheme and that one of the prototype OW’s on ebay was signed by him (probably #1 Im guessing). I’d like more information on that if you have it 😀

Sorry for all the questions! I am trying to compile some info about past sculpts and also for my own curiosity, because Im a d0rk like that 😛
