Base Jumping

My boyfriend wanted me to hear a song by Ellie Goulding the other day and he sent me this link to a video on Youtube of a remix of her song accompanied by some images of extreme sports (biking, snowboarding and base jumping). Normally I’m not a huge fan of extreme sports but I thought this video was way cool:

At one point I was SURE that the video had been doctored, it looked TOO crazy, TOO impossible. But it’s not. I ended up looking for some more footage and came across the following video, which shows the same guys (I think) basejumping at the same location as in the first video. Fair warning – you can hear someone swear towards the end (“holy s***!”) though, in his defense I’m not sure if I would be able to watch what he did and not say the same thing! XD

Extreme Base Jumping with Wingsuits

In the beginning of the video, Loic says “At the beginning of base jumping we would try to get as far from the wall as possible … and now it’s getting boring so we play around” – what he means by that is they try to get closer and closer to the “wall” – AKA a sheer cliff face!!

These guys remind me of flying squirrels. So crazy!
