I’ve done a few PYOs before, but this is my first dragon. Not sure if one has already been done like this or not, as I don’t get to browse the forums as much as I used to. Yes, I like pink. And strongly believe there should be more pink dragons! She is done in varying shades of pearly metallic pinks, and shaded in some areas with gold. Semi gloss finish.
Will probably put on Ebay this evening or maybe tomorrow, and see if I can get anything for her.

March 6, 2011 at 11:59 pm #839801WOW, thats a pretty pink.
March 7, 2011 at 1:39 am #839802I’m not that big on the color pink. But, I think you did a lovely job painting her. The gold and pearls really work nicely with the shades of pink you used. There are alot of people that love the color pink and I hope you fetch a great price for her as she deserves it. 😀
March 7, 2011 at 4:04 am #839803Thanks so much! This dragon is actually now sold, and even before hitting Ebay. I’m so glad she’s going to a good home, and I won’t have Ebay fees to deal with either! Thank you!! 😀
March 7, 2011 at 4:06 am #839804I’m trying to do this coloration for my nieces dragon (she’s 4) problem is that right now it just looks like it came out of a Pepto-Bismal bath 😮

When I was 4, I would have loved a pink one even if it was pepto bismol colored… lol.

lol – poor dragon! I’m sure you’ll get it to come along though, and she’ll love it. This one I did has lots of layering of different shades of pink, pearl, and gold. I had more patience with it than I thought I would! You can do it too!
March 7, 2011 at 6:27 am #839807Very pretty and congrats of the quick sale. I agree with you to. There needs to be more pink dragons 😀 .

March 24, 2011 at 10:13 pm #840611for those of you that have worked with the Pearl Ex powders, how do you get them to stick? Mix them into the paint or something else? I’m about ready to chuck this dragon through the plate glass window… *rats*

March 24, 2011 at 11:35 pm #840618TDM – I’ve been told that you can brush them straight on the piece in powder form – however, doing it this way means you need to spray a sealer between each “coat” to make it really stick!
In my own experience, I have added pearlex powders to a clear gloss medium – they mix in smoothly and end up looking like metallic paint (if you use a LOT of powder), or more like a translucent interference (if you use a small amount of powder).
This is what has worked best for me 🙂

March 29, 2011 at 3:51 am #841035Wow, I never saw this one. What a beauty! The green eyes are such a pleasing contrast to the shades of pink you used. Very well done!
