That if any of your doctors suggest and send you for a spinal tap, run as though you’re life depended upon it… I don’t usuallly have problems with medical proceedures and technically, I like to watch and see what’s going on (usually makes it a bit hard for the anesthesologist…) So now I’m recovering from the spinal tap AND I can drink all Pepsi that I want to because for seem reason, caffiene and salty things like chips can sometimes help to stave off a screamer of a headache. So I get to lie flat on my back until Monday-ish when I should have the results back. And miracles of miracles I only hes 2 tears leak down my face instead of the sob storm I would’ve iked to indluge in, so BIG kudos for me. 😛

ugg drink the pepsi and eat the salty stuff because according to my friend it is one hell of a headache.

When she was in labour with her second they decided to send her for a c-sec and tried to do an epidural. The guy tried 3 times and said he didnt get it so they put her under, the next day everytime she sat up she got and instant blinding migraine, turns out he hit her spine all 3 times.

Oh I hate headaches. I usually get migraines that keep me snoozing to stave off the pain. Feel better. I hope the test gives you the results you need.

I’ve never had a spinal tap but I’ll take your advice–know some people who had to go through this and it’s not fun. Hope you’re feeling better soon and hope the results are good. I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. 🙂

🙁 Wish I could take someof that pain away from you.
“Hugs” and try to relax…I know it’s difficult with all the stress you are under right now.
We love you and will think of you. 🙂

thankies *sniffle* It was not fun in the least – the interesting part was that I could see the x-ray screen that the doc was using to guide the needle to the right place and that was pretty cool 😀 They took four vials of fluid and so I’ve got to drink lots of liquid to help my body manufacture more – the problem is that now I “slosh” when I move 😳 XD XD

I hope the results come back as hoped and you better get your rest! And drink all the sugary stuff and eat all the salty stuff you want…. because migranes are no fun… yesterday evening I couldn’t function at all.

On my first reading of this, I thought you meant you could feel sloshing in your spine from the missing fluid, and was horrified! 😮

so far nothing is out of the “ordinary” – though the hospital misplaced my blood work so I have to do that all over again. Then I need to check back in with the orthopedic surgeon for my carpal tunnel. Have to see my foot doc this friday and all my specialists insist I see a psychiatrist for depression but he also deals with patients who are living with chronic pain and tons of stress. The thing is, I feel like if I go see the psychiatrist that Roddy will tease me unmercifully about how he “always knew I was crazy”… sigh…

anyway, Rod’s interview went well yesterday and they offered him a position which will be made formal on friday. We’ve also had a bid on the house and me boyohs don’t seem to unhappy with the idea of moving to Idaho Falls… They just want to know about the track and cross country teams and will there be a music program at the new high school. High school – now there’s an uncomfortable thought (for me anyway) and they’re signed up for drivers ed already. Who in their right minds put 14 year olds behind the wheel of a car? Roddy says that for the boys first car we should get them a “smart car” because (and I quote) “there are only two seats in it so they can’t take a bunch of friends joy riding; it only goes about 70 mph which can’t get them into too much trouble and last but not least, there’s not enough room in said car to do any “playing around” with a girl 😮

That our life at the moment – I’m sure there’ll be more later!

                          Hope not.

YAY!! Congrats! Yes, more stress, but less stress too. That’s about as easy as it can get.
