Can anyone tell me – is it the light or dark young peacock oriental that matches the peacock sun dragon ? I think it’s the darker version of the peacock young that matches the peacock sun but would grateful for confirmation from someone who can compare them directly . I would really appreciate it if anyone is able to clarify this for me :hi:

May 31, 2009 at 4:50 pm #766642Here is a post that pegasi gave me. It will show you the two color differences in the links, but I’m not sure which one matches.

Edit: Well, I went ahead and checked the database and it lists both the dark and light versions for the oriental sun as well, so I guess it just depends on which one you want or already have.

Sapphire, it is the light young peacock oriental that matches the peacock sun dragon. I have them, that’s how I know. To date, I have not seen a dark peacock sun dragon. They may exist, but if they do, they are pretty rare. The light peacock has a lighter blue, purple, and green coloration while the dark peacock has a dark blue and purple coloration with no green. Hopefully this helps. I can take a picture of my peacock sun and light peacock young oriental if you wish to see, but they match perfectly.
May 31, 2009 at 7:44 pm #766644Thanks Skylover – I find it very difficult to judge the colour of pieces in photographs on the database which is why I was asking about the Sun dragon as I can do a direct comparison & it seems that I do have a light peacock young dragon after all 😳 .
May 31, 2009 at 11:33 pm #766645I’ve been trying to get some better pictures of the different version of the peacock oriental sun dragons, but no one seems to have posted a good size photo of them. I had to crop the light peacock orientals from a group shot of all the orientals. There was someone on the forum that had all the different oriental family color groupings but I can’t remember who.
June 1, 2009 at 12:11 am #766646Okay, here are some pictures of my light peacock orientals. For whatever reason, my camera had trouble capturing the purple on the young oriental and the green on the oriental sun. Go figure.

June 1, 2009 at 12:18 am #766648Sure, no problem. I just wish that I could take pictues outside so that I might be able to get better colors and pictures. I had to use artificial light without my flash and thus the pictures are a bit fuzzy.

June 1, 2009 at 1:06 pm #766653The only dark peacock I need a picture of is the oriental sun dragon.
I *believe* they exsist because I could have sworn there was someone on the forum that posted a picture with the oriental dragon family in all the different production color variations. Officially there was ruby, jade and peacock. Unoffically there was ruby, emerald, jade, light peacock and dark peacock. In fact, I used one of those pictures to crop out the light peacock oriental sun dragon for the database. Anyone recognize part of their picture?
