Horse show results…Pictures… Page 2!

I’m here at the WPCSA show with Frodo and his trainer. The trainer agreed to give him one last shot and here we are.
What a day. So if you all aren’t familar with Welsh ponies, there are four sections. Frodo is a section A (smallest) then come B as a more riding type pony. Cs are ponies of the Cob type and Ds are the largest and very bulky cobs.
Frodo’s first halter class was Section A stallions 3-4 years old. There were four ponies in his class including a really cute mulitple supreme champion. Well… Frodo got two firsts (one from each judge). These judges were not agreeing with each other on any of these classes during the day… But they both liked Frodo and both put him first.
So because he got firsts, he went back in for the champion section A stallion class. This class had an older multiple National Supreme stallion as competition.

OMG… Frodo got double champion! I couldn’t believe it! So now he had to go into the grand champion section A. This was all section As at the show that won champions including mares and geldings. Once again…OMG! He got double grand champion!!!! Yay!!!! The finale was the supreme champion which is all sections all champions…. Holy Crap! Frodo got Supreme champion under one judge and Reserve Supreme under the other.
Frodo kept himself together really well! He did let loose a couple screams and did drop here and there (no perma-wood though). I’ll post some pictures with his ribbons when I get them. He looks even better than the other pictures.

So on to the western pleasure classes… These were done in the dark with huge blinding lights and horses everywhere and just a scary situation for a green pony. Keep in mind this is only the second ridden class he’s been in and the first where he’s being ridden with other ponies in the ring….
So all classes had only four ponies (the same ponies). His first class he jumped into the canter and spooked at a generator turning on and we got 4th out of four. The next two classes, he got thirds. He was such a good boy and really worked his heart out! He kept the screaming to a minimum and he kept his mind on the work. The trainer was really proud of him and we both agreed he did great. He didn’t get firsts, but my God! He was a doll!

We’ve got more halter classes tomorrow and two new judges to impress. Please send happy thoughts and prayers that Frodo keeps it together!

Thanks all! It’s been a battle for sure and it’s not over.
The Frodo we all know and love 😈 came back today. He went into his class with five legs 😯 and came out with a first and second place. He didn’t make champion most likely because of said leg.
Buuut during the Champion showcase, he was awesome! Basically it’s a parade of all the champions strutting their stuff and ribbons. Man, he pulled himself together and really put on a show!
I guess it’ll be ups and downs for a bit!

LOL, I didn’t bring my SD card and I can’t take pics. So I have to wait until they’re posted and I receive some emails with his pictures.
I know. Horrible huh?

Today he only had two trail classes.
He was first of 2 his first class and he didn’t place the second class.
So we’re back to 50/50 😆
