So I decided to go home ‘early’ last night, at 9PM. My reward was having one phase of our power short out and a car alarm go off and continue until 6AM.
So we had to sleep with the windows closed which made it impossible to sleep.
So I’m CRANKY, HUNGRY and TIRED today. RAWR!.

Thing is I don’t think it was actually a car. I think someone’s house alarm got fried by the phase drop. If it was a car, someone would have attended to it or had it towed.
Thankfully all my stuff is on UPS’s.. now that’s a confusing scene.. your lights all go dim, your fans slow down and your UPS’s kick on.. but there’s still power. Took me a minute to wrap my head around that one. Since there still was about 90V on the 2nd phase, the TV still ran (since they use switching power supplies which are good from about 80V up, but hard on the amperage)… but yeah.
