Blue on Black Griffin up for offers – SOLD

Here is my first PYO griffin finally completed. I’ve had him since May or June of last year, but only started on him a few weeks ago! He took me about 3 full weekends to complete. He was all handpainted with matte and metallic acrylics, and has 2 layers of satin varnish. The varnish has a slight gloss… but not extreme. His face has touches of pearly white, and all his blue feathers are tipped with metallic black. The eyes are pink, and I signed the bottom pad.

He was quite a challenge, but I really enjoyed painting him. I will probably do more, because I love birds of prey.

Here are some pics. There are several here showing different angles. He does not photo well, and I had a heck of a time trying to get his true colors to show! But these are pretty close though.
