ARGH! I'm so aggrivated…..& I'm cold

Okay so I decided not to go on the house search today because basically all of them we were supposed to look at were all in bad areas of town (since we’re getting desperate) So, figuring it would be a wash, I stayed in bed.

So I get a phonecall and I hear my sister’s voice on the answering machine “I FOUND THE PERFECT PLACE & IT’S REALLY CHEAP!” It’s a 2 family house with 2 bedrooms in each unit for $229,900. Granted it had a nice big fenced in back yard, but thats about all it had! The place is a forclosure and it is a complete crap fest inside! Broken vinyl siding pieces everywhere outside! The cabinets are all broken and from the 60s by the looks of it. the stoves were ripped out and the floors were all broken. The sinks look like the kind you see in an old school house. Those HUGE with ones you could probably give a 2 year old a bath in. The bathrooms were all moldy along the grout and every room had at least one punch hold in the wall. Also every room needed new carpet from the abundance of filth in the place! Every wall had little kid scribbles in magic marker for the forst 3 feet from the floor. Not to mention 6 of the windows had broken glass and the foundation looked like it was starting to crumble. I started to walk up to the second unit, (where I would live) and the wall on the right side of the hall was all broken and missing about a 4 foot triangular chunk so you could see into the basement! She’s like “It just needs a little TLC” Mind you, the area where I’d be living was all 6 1/2 to 7 foot ceilings. I mean, I know I’m short, but if I can touch the ceiling without trying that’s bad!

So we go to the last house on the agenda which is right down the street since we had extra time and it was another forcloser anyway I decided to go there too. The thing with the house is that its one house away from the corner and the corner is small privately run car dealership and garage. Also, across the street from a chinese food place and Weir Pizza which is like our local bar, pizza, and sub shop. The house is BEAUTIFUL! When you first waled in there was an area with 8 windows lined up making an indoor porch with lavander tiles. (granted the veiw sucked or the street) It had a white picket fence and one of those horseshoe shaped walkway things you walk under covered with ivy. The house is a 3 bedroom and a 4 bedroom so it’s much bigger. Like an extra 1,000 square feet. The cabinets and hardwoods were clean, new and beautiful. Really nice white on the 2nd fllor and like a light ceder on the first. All replaced windows. There was paneling, but it was at least clean and not all broken like the other house. There were huge like 8 foot high bay windows in the living room areas. For some odd reason, one of the rooms was sponged rainbow and another sponged hot pink. They were awful looking, but repaintable. (probably were kids rooms) No broken walls or need to have to plaster and sand anything. Most of the carpeting was new but there were some in the second floor that were kind gross, but noy unlivable. A finished attic too with lots of storage space and even replacement windows in a partically finished basement. It had beam work and cement floors, but thats it. The other place was all dirt and brick walls. So this house is 259,900. Yea, more expensive, but well worth it! It came with refridgerators and stoves too, while the other didn’t! The stoves were new, but the fiidges were kind of dirty on the inside. They would definately need a good douche! LOL! and a shared heating system so we could split the bill and save money. It was already zoned so we could adjust our own temperatures and everything. she’s like “Well, theres no fence for the dogs and I don’t like the view” Because you see the back of the dealership building through the kitchen windows and then you see the chinese food place and the street in the living room. and there IS A FENCE! She’s just too lazy to pick up her dog or leash it and put it in a fenced in area. She has to be able to open her door and let them run outside on their own. Okay, not too mention her dogs are going to kick the bucket in like a year or two (not to be mean, but it’s true) How long is a 10 year old, 35 pound pomeranian who breathes like her just ran 5 miles really going to last!

Mind you, were we live now is a huge tar lot with a view of the ceramic factory. COME ON! I get the point, but we’re not LIVING oustide! Were living INSIDE! Take what we can get, ya know. We’re not going to be getting any waterfront property around here! Plus there was a shed (in really good shape, not falling down or anthing near that!) and a bench with a yard that is probably about 20 square feet. The other house had like a 100 by 120 foot yard, but honestly! We’re two girls! I KNOW WE ARE NOT gpong to mow the lawn. It will be full of dog crap and who wants to look at that!

GOD! We’re never going to geta house at this rate! She’s HOPELESS!

Oh yea, both the houses were vacant so there was no heat so my toes and butt are completely frozen numb!

ACK! My sister is so stubborn and hard headed (she’s alot like me 😀 ) but we don’t agree on anything! We’ve been at this for over a year now. I’m thinking I should just break down and go rent a dog friendly apartment.

I know, I’ll be damned if I have to pay 1,000 rent to live in a crap hole.

Hehe, I’m also very torn on what to buy at Grandio with the 25% coupon. a black and gold momma dragon or a ruby scratching dragon. I really want an emperor but I just can’t do it right now. I only have 2 black and golds, (a male and a fledge) but on the other hand, I’ll have ALL the rubies if I get the scratcher. *sigh*

I know, I’m so sick of peacock though. I’m only missing the Lap in Peacock and the Scratching in Ruby. All the other colors I only have 2 or 3 in each color. I don’t know whether to finish a set or get more of colors I don’t have. I still want a gold too.
