My brother was trying to get a 3DS XL, but instead got the DSi XL. However, since he opened it before really looking at the box, he cannot return it. So we were wondering if anyone would like to buy it back from us. Only the box was opened, the DS is still brand new, never used.

old animal line frog, wolf, barn owl, tortoise, tiger cubReally? I don’t want to sound like I must know better, but are you certain he can’t return it? Most stores have a policy that you can return a product within a certain time limit as opposed to if it’s been opened.
Also, depending on the store, they’ll take it back if you admit stupidity in picking the wrong product. If that fails, try getting an older friend or relative to claim he/she bought the wrong item. I got my Mom to do that once when I got the wrong game, and you know they usually won’t take games back if they’ve been opened. 😉
