Hello, it’s my first time posting here.

I recently acquired an emerald emperor dragon that has a couple flea-bite chips on him; nothing major, but I am interested in touching them up. Does anyone have any brand/color suggestions for touching up spots on the darkest and medium shades of green on an emerald Windstone?

Oh no! I’m guessing this was the one I sold you on eBay – I was sure he was fine going in! I looked him all over before I sent him. I admit I’d never shipped an Emp before though. Does bubble wrap cause that sort of thing??

If you want, I can mail you the paint I used to colour match his flea bites when he first came to me. 🙂 It’s Testors brand, metallic “Emerald” green.

Hey, cool to see you here :D. It was the same Emperor. I’m not sure if the bubble wrap is to blame? When I was unpacking him, he did slip in my grip a little and my nails did scrape against him, so I blame missing paint on his left hand on that. I later noticed a little paint missing on his left brow.

Thanks for the offer! I don’t know where to buy testors around here anymore (All our hobby shops closed down) so if you want to send it, that’d be awesome :D. Is testors paint still enamel based?

I have a really good match for emerald. It’s an airbrush paint from Michaels called Pearl Green and the brand is Createx. Sometimes I will add a few drops of metallic gold depending on the color variation and mix it to match.

If you happen to have a Micheals it should be there – Otherwise I can send it, no problem. Just let me know!

It’s enamel based… at least, is says “enamel” right on the bottle so I’m guessing that’s what you meant, haha.

I thought enamel based paints were no-nos for Windstones because the paint does not allow the sculpt to breathe and the paint can flake off like a sunburn later

                  I don’t think it’s enamel based. It’s airbrush paint.
