drag0nfeathers Needs Your Suggestions

So after 10+ years my comcast email is going buh-bye and we’re making the switch to verizon (regrettably, but it’s not my choice)

EVERYTHING I do is thru this address. Personal stuff and otherwise… I must have like 50 accounts on different things ranging from photobucket to amazon to whatever else in the world I have ever signed up for since I owned a computer. I probably even have a myspace for all I know! LOL!

In any case, my mission was to create a new email on Gmail so I don’t have to have this issue should it arise again in the future. Of course, my username that I have been known by forever is already being used by someone… so I need ideas for a new name that can include my drag0nfeathers handle in it… so far I have

drag0nfeathers custom creations
drag0nfeathers design
drag0nfeathers art

So far I’m not particulatly thrilled with any of my ideas…

My other option is to just use yahoo and keeo yahoo my drag0nfeathers handle on there as it’s not already used (just snatched that up to be safe, LOL)

What do you guys suggest? Make a yahoo account so the transition is nice and easy? Same username, just a different domain

OR Make a gmail account with a more unique name that incorperates drag0nfeathers in it, and if so what are your ideas?

I think the names you suggested are too long for an email address. If it were a website, that would be different. Since you’re used to having Drag0nfeathers, changing domains might be the easiest thing.

Thanks Bodine… Yea… in case anybody has wondered why I havent been online much lately it’s because Ein has nasal cancer and is taking a steady downhill decline over the past 2 months. He started with nosebleeds and its escalated to what seemed like an infection, but is actually a form of cancer. Every day he needs steam treatments and looks wise he’s a booger factory and his snout shows some malformations which is normal according to the vet. There’s nothing we can do except keep him comfortable until the cancer gets to the point where it will eventually effect his brain. He’s got good days and bad days, but we have decided not to put him through surgery which we have been told is extremely painful and probably wouldn’t be much help. It could relieve some of his current blockages, but would more then likely make the progression worse amd also recovery is difficult in the mean time. With his age alone surgery is also risky and radiation on a dog less then 35 pounds is also a lot to put him through… just trying to enjoy the time we have left with him while he is still bright and alert before we have to make final decisions.

I agree with dragonmedley. I think no matter what you add to drag0nfeathers it’s going to make a pretty long email address. I would say go with Yahoo. Unless you want to shorten it to drag0ns_art or something along those lines. JMO

That’s not a bad idea… drag0nsdesign or drag0nsart … hmmmm… changing everything is gonna be such a PAIN >_<

I wouldn't mind using yahoo, it's just so much easier to use gmail to move all my email from one location to the other and my cellphone is all preloaded with google crap so it's just more convenient.

Another thought – just because you’re switching to verizon, does that necessarily mean your comcast email goes away? I have a friend that switched providers but she can still log in to her old email account. Can you set the comcast account to forward to a new email address but still keep the old?

I don’t know the answer – was just wondering.

LOL! at ninjadrag0n… I was thinking of something like that too, but I wanted something I can keep for long haul for my art/paypal transactions and such.

Yahoo’s okay. Gmail’s a pain in the rear. I use MSN/live/Outlook. Of the three, I find it’s the easiest to use/organize. Yahoo can be a pain in that regard, but of the three, Yahoo has the more attractive layout
[you can use your own background]. I have a Gmail because my schools use Gmail. Otherwise, I just wouldn’t have one. I recommend going with MSN. Also, I like drag0ns.creations or drag0n.feathers
