      A nearby college’s greenhouse just had an Amorphophallus titanium- aka corpse flower- bloom. You see them in the news sometimes; they’re huge and VERY smelly (like rotting elephants lol), and uncommon in cultivation. It also takes 10-12 years to bloom and the flower only lasts 2-3 days; the nursery manager says Wikipedia lists this as the 199th to bloom in captivity. The flower was already collapsing when we got there, but we got to watch them collect pollen to share with other conservatories. Also the smell was declining lol.
