So I’m sitting here admiring my beautiful Copper Patina oriental dragon and Im thinking he would be great with a Copper Patina Sun Dragon 😉

Since the whole point of Copper Patina is to save dragons with imperfections, and that they are kind of supposed to have marks in the sculpt….

AND since you’ve said the Sun Dragons are a pain in the butt to get out of a mold perfectly….

I am hoping that maybe some Copper Patina Sun Dragons (*coughwithtealeyes*cough*…ehem) may be a possibility in the near future?

That’s a great idea, Wolfen. I would love to see any kind of sun dragon back in the store, but the copper patina color would like so pretty on them too! SQUEAK! SQUEAK!

Any and all orientals are a want in my book. Red eyes though :p And when I can afford them…

I think the problem with demolding them is that they are just bloody hard to get out and the molds get ripped..

I aways wondered how in the heck you got those guys out of mold anyways. I have a vague understanding of the process, and the Sun dragon was one that made me scratch my head…
A little of topic, I always wondered how the sculpts with ‘holes’ in them were made. Like the Scratcher’s front leg or where the neck attaches to the wing on the Male – a few examples.

ya that’s a good point. Maybe someone could do a photo sequence on the blog so we could see how its done? I’ve always been curious as well

I’ll try to get a blog together like that. May take me awhile.
